The quickest route
- Send the exact Jail Roster Hub URL, county, and state.
- Explain the specific text, link, or record detail that needs review.
- For a removal or privacy request, tell us what action you are asking us to consider.
1. Page and source corrections
Tell us if a county page has a broken or misdirected link, the wrong county or state, an outdated description, a duplicate route, or another directory error. Send the page URL and a short explanation of the exact change needed.
Identify the page
Include the full page URL, county, state, and the wording or link you are referring to.
Describe the issue
Say what is wrong, what should change, and whether the problem affects one page or several related pages.
Support the request
When possible, include the current official page or another clear explanation that helps us verify the correction.
2. Removal and privacy requests
You may ask us to review information displayed on a Jail Roster Hub page when it is inaccurate, outdated, duplicated, private, sealed, expunged, or otherwise raises a legitimate privacy concern. Explain the page, the specific information, and the action you want us to consider.
A request to review or remove our directory copy does not change the official county record, an independent website, search-engine results, or a court decision. For a correction to an official record, contact the agency or court that maintains it.
Do not send Social Security numbers, passwords, financial information, unredacted identity documents, or unrelated personal details in your first email. Our Privacy Policy explains how to make a privacy request.
3. Agency and source updates
If you represent a sheriff’s office, jail, detention facility, county office, or another official records team, identify the organization and county you represent. Include the public page that should be linked and describe what changed.
We can review the way a public source is represented in our directory. The agency remains responsible for its own roster, schedules, custody information, and records.
4. Formal and legal notices
For a formal legal notice, identify the sender or organization, the legal basis for the request, the exact URL or URLs involved, and the action requested. Attach only documents that are necessary to understand the notice and remove unrelated sensitive information.
Use the subject line “Legal notice” so the request can be routed for review. A general email or a request sent only to a third-party agency does not automatically constitute formal service on Jail Roster Hub.
5. What to include in an email
- The page: full URL, county, state, and any relevant section or listing.
- The request: correction, link update, privacy review, removal review, or formal notice.
- The reason: a concise explanation of what is inaccurate, outdated, private, or legally relevant.
- Supporting context: an official replacement link or other information that lets us understand the request.
- Your role: whether you are the person concerned, an authorized representative, an agency contact, or another requester.
6. How we review requests
We review the scope, supporting context, and page involved. We may ask for limited additional information when needed to locate a page or understand your authority to make a request. Do not send identity documents unless we specifically explain why one is necessary.
Possible outcomes include correcting a directory detail, updating a link, adding context, limiting a page, removing a directory copy, or explaining why no change can be made. We cannot promise a particular outcome or a specific response time.
